Edge of Sports is the home of political sportswriter Dave Zirin, the author of three books, countless articles and sports commentator for Air America and XM Radio's "On the Real" with Chuck D and Gia'na Garel.

Challenge

Dave Zirin had an established political sports column and some great ideas for a website, but wasn't sure exactly what it would take to bring his ideas online.

Solution

COMAND Solutions worked with Dave's existing ideas and design to create a website responsive to Dave's current needs and entrepreneurial vision.  In phase one, we teamed up with Nico Berry, who designed Dave's initial website, to bring together Dave's various columns in one place.  The design was implemented in webCOMAND, simplifying Dave's website update process.  Shortly after the initial website launch, Dave had the idea to sell Edge of Sports t-shirts on the site.  COMAND Solutions provided the functionality he needed to promote and sell the shirts, including the ability to accept credit card orders online.  Since then, we've expanded Dave's website functionality to include audio playback.

We're pretty sure this isn't the end of Dave's ambition -- or his evolving website.
